Chapter 16
Katniss got caught in the explosion. Since Katniss is the main character and hero she would probably only be injured from the mine explosion. Because, she is the main character/hero and the hero usually never dies. Peeta got wounded by the careers for leaving them. maybe Peeta didn't leave the careers, they probably kicked him out for saving Katniss. Katniss and Rue are planning to destroy the careers food supply. Because of Katniss being a good shooter it might have been better to destroy the food supply by shooting the nearest mine(s) to the food from a distance so she might not have been caught in the explosion.

Great response, Casey. I'm really liking how you wove in your response into the summary of what you read. I'm wondering how far back she'll need to stand.....she doesn't know how big of an explosion these mines will produce, does she?
